Is accuracy important when measuring pH?

Yes – you should bear in mind the pH scale is not uniform.

pH 8.0 is 10 times more alkaline than pH 7.0.

pH 9.0 is 100 times more alkaline than pH 7.0.

So the rule here is simple – what may appear to be a small difference is in fact significant. If in doubt employ a pool specialist to keep your pool pH properly regulated.
